CrossFit Epping

We got lucky when Dino accidentally stumbled across our sneaky gym one Sunday morning. He left his number, we called, and without hesitation he joined the CFE community over the phone. That’s a rare leap of faith in the CrossFit world as usually there’s a lot more coaxing and convincing required. But not for Dino. He jumped in the deep end head first, ready and willing to take on everything we threw at him. Since that day I don’t know if there’s been a two day period where we haven’t seen Dino at the gym, always smiling, working hard and encouraging those around him.

Consistency is the driving factor in one’s fitness success and Dino epitomizes his mindset in his favorite quote: “hard work pays off in the future, laziness pays off now”.  There’s no question in our mind why he’s seeing the results of his hard work. What do you do outside of CrossFit?
I am a Nuclear Engineer at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

What did you do for fitness before CFE?
The usual, try to stay in shape by running and working out as much as possible.

What made you chose CFE?
Chance, went to eat breakfast at Ryan’s Place with my family and
luckily I stumbled into this place.

Advice to someone who is hesitant to try Crossfit?
Just do it, it takes a lot of will power and fortitude. There is never a dull moment.

Proudest achievement?
Now I could finish some workout without feeling like I’m dying.

Greatest challenge?
Learning the fundamentals of each workout and the importance of it.

Goals moving forward in life, at the gym?
Show up everyday with positive attitude and just have fun.

If you could design a workout what would it be?
Anything with running, but not long distance.

If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life what would it be?
Pizza
