And you thought we were done with announcing our team expansion… Little did you know we had one last big one for ya.

We are SO excited to announce that Shannon is dusting off her coaching shoes to be back on the floor working with you all! If you don’t know, (although you probably already do), Shannon was one of the original founding team members and linchpin community leaders here at CFE. And now after a brief hiatus she’s jumping back in with full force!

Shannon has an innate ability to connect with people.  She’s awesome at providing cues and guidance to our members in a lighthearted yet highly effective way, all the while keeping things fun even in the depths of a nasty workout. Most importantly, she always puts the needs of others before herself. Her goal is to make your hour at the gym the best one of your day. 

We’re super grateful that life has freed up a bit to give her the opportunity to jump back on board with the team. Read on to refamiliarize yourself with Shannon…

WHAT DO YOU SPECIALIZE IN?
I’m  a professional worry wart.  I’m worrying about you all right now and you don’t even know it

WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT?
I’m passionate about my kids and trying hard to be a good mom.   It’s the hardest most rewarding job I’ve ever taken on.
WHAT DO YOU DO FOR FUN?
Spend time with family.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST ABOUT COACHING IN YOUR COMMUNITY?
Hands down the people.  We are all in this together.

WHAT IS YOUR ATHLETIC BACKGROUND?
Soccer and basketball in my younger years .  When I got older I took on running marathons.  Once my sanity returned I found CrossFit  and realized running 26 miles alone with my own thoughts wasn’t for me anymore.  Although I might have one more in me.  Don’t hold me to it.

HOW DID YOU END UP A CROSSFIT COACH?
Sean and Tobey asked me in like 2015. Bless their hearts.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST CHALLENGING PART OF YOUR JOURNEY INTO CROSSFIT SO FAR?
Realizing it is in fact a journey.  It’s a marathon not a sprint in terms of overall health and wellness.  There are times I feel super fit and times I don’t.  Those are the times you have to be kinder to yourself, push through and find happiness and strength in the people.  Life happens,  other responsibilities creep in, and we just gotta stay the course and keep on keeping on.

WHATS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO OUTSIDE OF THE GYM?
Spending anytime I can with my kids.  I love shopping and hanging out with my girls and snuggling and playing football with Andrew.  I live for watching all my kids games.   You’ll typically find Sean and I driving from game to game on weekends.  I also love spending time with my friends.  We also love to travel with the kids.

WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO CFE?

WHAT GOALS DO YOU HAVE ON YOUR HORIZON?
In terms of myself I really don’t  know to be honest.  But what matters to me most is I just want my kids to be happy and healthy.   I want  Sean and I to be happy.  It’s so simple but it’s really all I want .  I would also like the puppies to stop shitting all over gods green earth aka- inside the house.

One time I sang Sister Christian by Knight Ranger at a karaoke place but it wasn’t well received and we should never speak of this again.

IF ALIENS LANDED ON EARTH TOMORROW AND OFFERED TO TAKE YOU HOME WITH THEM WOULD YOU GO?  
Yes!  if I could take my family with me.  Also is there Pinot Grigio there?  And Yellowstone?

WHAT IS THE MOST EMBARRASSING FASHION TREND YOU USE TO ROCK?
I think it’s already back in style  😫
